To get

It is the northern part of Manhattan from 59th Street. Within this area the Upper East Side it is by far the wealthiest neighborhood in New York. It is bounded by Fifth Avenue, which overlooks Central Park, and includes not only the Museum Mile (almost all with the exception of the MoMa), but also the streets of the most majestic houses (the kind with huge green awnings and doormen with caps) and the most in shopping areas. It is an area to go in the morning because in the evening it does not have any life at all, since it is too residential.

Do not stop entering Central park. The true lung of Manhattan, which stretches from 59th to 110th Street and between Fifth Avenue and Central Park West. In the highest part, by the entrance of the Met there are funny things: the "Alice in Wonderland" sculpture, the fenced lake where the girls from "Sex and the City" always run. The entire park is divided by a series of roads that cross from East to West and are very busy.

The Upper East Side: There, at 2960 Broadway (at 116th Street), is Columbia University. In the area around Columbia there are several places to eat, such as Le Monde, a french bistro with a croque monsieur it's worth it.

The Dakota Building (1 West 72nd Street, with Central Park West Avenue). This apartment building, built in 1880, is infamous for the 1980 murder of John Lennon as he entered the building. His widow, Yoko Ono, continues to live on the seventh floor of these apartments. From Central Park you can see it perfectly.

Avenue of Broadway, the longest in New York, stretches from the Upper West to SoHo, that is, if you walk its more than 150 streets you would get from Columbia to SoHo. The most famous part is the one through the so-called Theater District, to which you definitely have to go at night or at sunset, walking from North to South. This is when the lights of Times square (located between 7th Avenue and Broadway and 42nd and 47th streets) look more impressive. If it is the end of the year ... Here you can see the premiere musicals, such as "The Lion King"; it's a sin to miss it.
