Uyghur phrasebook - Uyghur phrasebook

Uyghur (ئۇيغۇرچە/Uyƣurqə/Уйғурчә/Uyghurche) is mostly spoken in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of northwestern China, with further native speakers numbering about 30,000 found in neighbouring Kazakhstan. It is co-official with Mandarin in Xinjiang, and most government signs in the region are at least bilingual in Chinese and Uyghur.

Spread of the Uyghur language in China

Most younger Uyghur speakers in China are also able to speak Mandarin, so learning Uyghur is not necessary to communicate. That said, attempting to communicate in Uyghur will surely impress your hosts if they speak the langauge.
