Uzungöl is on the south coast of the Black Sea in the Turkey and has about 2,000 inhabitants.

Uzungöl means long lake and actually describes the lake to be found here, but it is mostly associated with the small town on the shore of the lake which bears the same name. In recent years the place has become one of the top local tourist destinations due to its idyllic location on the lake, in lush green meadows and surrounded by a densely wooded mountain panorama. This led to an increasing expansion of the infrastructure for transport connections and structure. Numerous hotels and restaurants were built in the area. Due to the pleasant temperatures, especially in summer, Uzungöl is a popular travel destination.
