Valledoria is still a young place (officially founded in the 1960s) and is located in the center of the north coast of Sardinia. Despite everything, Valledoria has ancient roots. Valledoria achieved great fame through the cultivation of artichokes, which are exported to all of Europe from the end of November to April. In addition, the place flourished thanks to tourism. Valledoria is rapidly developing into one of the most important holiday resorts in Northern Sardinia.
