Town center City Center - Unlike many North American cities, downtown Vancouver is a residential area and not just a place to go to work. Some neighborhoods are highly placed such as Yaletown, Coal Harbor and Concorde Pacific. Vancouver's Chinatown is also located in the City Center. Other neighborhoods are Stanley Park, West End, Gastown. Around Davie Street is the gay district of Vancouver. The "Granville Island Public Market" is a well-known and vast shopping center located on a former islet, now welded to the mainland. It is also a shopping area with many restaurants.
Outside the city center Kitsilano & Granville Island - Hippies neighborhood in the 60s of the twentieth century, Kitsilano or simply Kits, is now one of the most expensive areas of Vancouver. Its promenade is home to many beaches such as Jericho Beach, a favorite with families and Spanish Banks with many volleyball courts.
UBC-Point Gray - UBC is acronym that stands for

C.olumbia and serves to indicate the western area of the city, beyond Kitsilano.
South Vancouver - Includes the residential neighborhoods of Kerrisdale, Oakridge, Marpole and portions of those of Dunbar, Arbutus Ridge, Shaughnessy and South Cambie. The VanDusen Botanical Gardens and the Jewish Museum are located in this area.

By public transport
Public transport connects the whole city quickly and easily. The Skytrain allows you to move quickly, where the skytrain does not arrive, transport is guaranteed by bus lines.
The center is connected to Vancouver by boats that depart from the Gastown skytrain station.

Vancouver hotels are, as a rule, salty. If you are lucky you can find accommodation in a hostel. The vast majority of hotels and hostels are located in the City Center. Cheaper hotels are located in the Kingsway and Broadway neighborhoods, east and south of the City Center, respectively.
The best bargains are found in the suburbs, such North Vancouver,Burnaby is New Westminster.
