Characteristic
Mostly it covers the historical region known as the Country of Valencia (Spanish. País Valenciano), which as the Kingdom of Valencia (catal. Regne de València), together with Catalonia, Aragon and the Balearic Islands, formed the historic Aragonese Crown. To the north it borders with Catalonia and Aragon, from the west with Castilla-La Mancha, from the south with Murcia.
