Western Congo-Kinshasa is the western region of Congo-Kinshasa. The capital of the region is Kinshasa. Other major cities in the region are the port city Matadic and bandundu.

Until February 2009, the area consisted of three provinces of Congo-Kinshasa, namely Lower Congo (known as Central Congo since 2009), the city province of Kinshasa and Bandundu. Today, the former province of Bandundu has been split into the new provinces of Kwango, Kwilu and Mai-Ndombe, making the region now made up of five provinces.
