- Big Al's (South on U.S. Highway 1), ☏ 1 207 882-6423. This is a store you can spend a couple of hours browsing. What is nice, you can find high price tourist items at closeout prices. They also give a gift (you pick from a shelf) to everyone who makes a purchase. Closed in winter.

- Red's Eats, 41 Water St, ☏ 1 207 882-6128. Very popular seasonal Seafood Shack right on Route 1 offering up various seafood dishes, including what many say is the best lobster roll in Maine. Hour plus wait times are normal occurrence here.
