Vynohradiv - county town in Zakarpattia regionUkraine.

Characteristic

The time and circumstances of the creation of Big Sewlusz are unknown. The first mention of the town of Zceuleus, already a royal city at that time, comes from 1262. In 1329 the King of Hungary, Charles Robert, granted the town additional trade privileges. From then on, Sewlusz was the seat of the authorities of the Ugocsa county. On January 23, 1662, Turkish troops, allied with the Hungarian prince Mihály Apafi, and the troops of the Transylvanian voivode János Kemény, who lost the battle and died, took place near the city. In 1919, Sewlusz found himself in the newly established Czechoslovakia. In March 1939, along with the entire Transcarpathian Ruthenia, it was annexed by Hungary. In October 1944 it was seized by units of the 4th Ukrainian Front. About 4,000 city residents were deported deep into the USSR, about 70% of them died. In 1945, Sewlusz was incorporated into Soviet Ukraine. In 1946 the name was changed to the modern one.
