The Zasavska region is the smallest of the Slovenian regions in terms of area (264 km²) and number of inhabitants. It is very centrally located in Slovenia and has no external borders. The main line of business is mining and stone extraction.

  • Trbovlje district museum
  • Historic miners' settlement, in Trbovlje. Built over 100 years ago.
  • Ruins of Medija Castle. From the 15th century.
  • Zagorje ob Savi. Located on the 15th semicircle, there is also a memorial.
