Zellertal is a winegrowing village in the region Thunder Mountain.

The municipality of Zellertal consists of the three villages Harxheim, Niefernheim and Cell.
The actual Zellertal extends beyond the area of the municipality. The beginning is Marnheim ("Gate to the Zellertal"), followed by Albisheim (Pfrimm) and Einselthum, then comes the municipality of Zellertal and then, already in Rheinhessen, the communities Mölsheim, Wachenheim and Monsheim. The orientation of the valley from west to east ensures favorable climatic conditions compared to the surrounding area and enables large-scale viticulture.

By train
The 1 Harxheim-Zell train station today serves exclusively the tourist traffic. In the summer months (May 1st to November 1st) it is served on Sundays by the museum trains of the Zellertalbahn between Monsheim and Kaiserslautern Hbf. Regular traffic does not take place here.
By bus
The 921 bus runs from Monsheim train station through the entire Zellertal to Kirchheimbolanden; it also runs on weekends and public holidays.

Tourist Attractions
- 1 Protestant Church in Zell, Zeller Hauptstrasse 24 (Cell). Zell is one of the few places where the Protestant and Catholic Church are direct neighbors. The Protestant church was rebuilt according to the historical model in the early 18th century after the original church fell victim to the War of the Palatinate Succession.
- 2 Catholic Church of St. Philip, Zeller Hauptstrasse 22 (Cell). The baroque church dates from the middle of the 18th century and today forms an ensemble with the neighboring Protestant church.
- 3 War memorial. The monumental war memorial stands high above the Zellertal and can be seen from afar. It was built in 1928 by six communities in the Zellertal for those killed in the First World War and later expanded to include those who fell in the Second World War.

- hike: In the Zellertal, the Zellertalweg was created with EU funding as a network of hiking trails across the entire Zellertal.
