Districts
The city center, located at the port, consists mainly of government buildings. It is therefore very quiet there on Sundays.

By plane
Ziguinchor Airport (ZIG) is served daily from Air Sénégal and Transair (Senegal) from Dakar.
By bus
In the street
- The Cap Skirring resort, about 50 km away, can be reached (via Oussouye) on a paved road.
- It is possible to drive through Gambia to Dakar by car. However, this trip takes a long time and due to the security situation there, it is not recommended.
- In the south of the city is the border crossing to Guinea Bissau.
By boat
There are regular ferry connections between Dakar and Ziguinchor. Currently twice a week, probably more often in the near future.

- You can cycle along the "road" to the village of Enampor.
- You can take a trip with a pirogue to Affiniam and stop in Djilapao on the way. Hundreds of birds can be admired in the mangrove swamps along the way.
- There is a crocodile farm nearby that can be visited.
