By plane
The susi Air company operates a service twice a week between Ambon and Banda. Online reservations are not possible. Places are limited to 12 and luggage to 10kg. Days and times are subject to change, and cancellation depending on the weather. It would be advisable to reserve a place at least 10 days in advance and to regularly check the status of the reservation
On a boat
Getting to Banda is not the easiest. However, Pelni ferries run regularly, their dates and times are only published one month in advance, and normally run twice a week in the direction of Ambon-Banda and Banda-Ambon. It is the most reliable solution and the least subject to last minute surprises
The fast resume service after the rainy season, but no official date is communicated. They are a priori regularly subject to last minute cancellations depending on the weather.
