Important cities
- Kristiansand (Kristiansand) - Largest city in southern Norway with regular ferry connections to the opposite town Hirchals located in Denmark.
- Arsenal (Arendal) - Picturesque village and seaside resort a few km. north of it Kristiansand.
- Έβγιε (Evje) - Inland town on the wooded banks of the river Otra
- Farsund (Farsund) - Port with a tradition in shipping and fishing.
- Fleckiord (Flekkefjord) - Port known in the past for the export of valuable timber to Netherlands. Today the Fleckiord is connected to the German city of Wülhelmseven via a submarine cable for the exchange of wind and electricity between the two countries.
- Lingdal (Lyngdal) - A seaside resort known for the beaches of Kvavik and Rosfjord which attract many detachables during the summer months.
- Lilesand (Lillesand) - Tourist town near the national park "Skjærgårdsparken" (the Archipelago Forest). Garder Jostein, the Norwegian author of the world-bestselling novels The World of Wisdom and The Mystery of the Deck, often mentions the city Lilesand in his works.
- Mandal (Mandal) - Mandal is at its southernmost tip Of Norway and for this reason it is a popular resort. Sjøsanden (The Sandy Sea) is its most famous beach.
- Risor (Risør) - Picturesque village with wooden houses and a port where tourist boats dock.
