Important cities

- Welch (German: Wels) - One of the oldest in Austria, the Welch is a tourist town with a rich summer program of artistic events.

- Φράιστατ (German: Freistadt) - The old fortified city has well-preserved examples of 14th and 15th century military architecture with impressive gates and towers.

What to see
Monastery of Agios Florianos (German: Stift Sankt Florian) - 15 km south east of Leeds by bus or train. Large monastery of the canons of Agios Agostinos built on a hill. It has a rich gallery of works by the painter Albrecht Altdorfer (1480–1538) and a library of over 140,000 volumes.
Kremsunster Monastery (German: Stift Kremsmünster) (On the main railway line from Leeds in the Graz) - The monastery belongs to the Benedictine order and is mainly known for its tower (Sternwarte) 50 meters high that offers panoramic views of the surrounding area.
