- Sweet (Turkish: Almonds, also known as Eskibademli) - about 3 km north of Merkez, 1 km south of Kaleköy. It is located at the top of a hill .. The balcony of the abandoned school has amazing views of the mountains, the plain, the Aegean and the Samothrace.
- Castle (Turkish: Kaleköy) - 4 km north of Merkez, the village consists of two parts, (10 minutes walk), the new seaside and the upper part at the top of the hill. There are the monuments of a castle on the hill.
- Agioi Theodoroi (Turkish: Olive) - 3 km northwest of Merkez. It is located on a hillside with olive trees.
- Agridia (Turkish: Tepeköy) - about 10 km northwest of Merkez. It is located on a hill overlooking the blue artificial lake and the surrounding hills.
