THE Ερατεινή has a population of about 850 inhabitants. It is about 50 kilometers from Amfissa and geographically located in the southern part of the Prefecture of Fokida. Eratini is a fairly developed village. It has developed tourism as it is a coastal area and has very beautiful beaches with relatively warm waters in summer. It has several rooms for rent and hotels with beautiful views of the Corinthian Gulf and the Peloponnese and shops of all kinds, such as supermarkets, bakeries, bakeries and butchers. It also has developed livestock, fisheries and olive oil production. Finally, Eratini is famous for the delicious and healthy seafood offered by the sea of the Corinthian gulf. Around Eratini there are 2 villages, Tolofona and Panormos.

THE Panormos has a population of 88 inhabitants, according to the 2011 Census, and is built at an altitude of 90 meters.

History

THE Ερατεινή is a new place created around 1870-1880. At that time it was called Hani and it functioned as an inn. It took its name from Queen Erato. In 1908 Eratini was destroyed by a strong earthquake. There were no casualties from this earthquake, but many buildings of that time were destroyed. At that time there was no road to Athens or Patras. Thus, people who wanted to go to Athens or Patras went with the boats of the time, which were usually boats for buying or selling food and animals. In 1936 the electricity came to Eratini. Also in Eratini there were 2 more earthquakes, one in 1965 with one victim and a lot of material damage and one in 1995 with a lot of material damage.
