Good Ports - Καλοί Λιμένες

Oi Good Ports is its town Of Crete overlooking the Libyan Sea.

At a glance

Opposite the port and just a few hundred meters there is the islet "Apostolos Pavlos" which the locals call a small island, and where there are facilities for the supply of seagoing ships.

The name of the village is very ancient and even refers to the Acts of the Apostles, because at this point the Apostle Paul landed when he was transported to Rome.

To the east of the current settlement are the ruins of the ancient city of Lasaia in the area of ​​Chrysostom. The latter flourished in Roman times and was the port of Gortyna. This city is referred to in the Roman currency as Thalassa and elsewhere with the names Alasa and Lasos.
