THE Καρυά is a mountain village in the prefecture of Lefkada in Greece. It has a population of 989 inhabitants according to the 2001 census. It is located in the northern and central part of the island. The village is perched on Mount Elati, at an altitude of 500 meters and above while at the roots of the village is a small plateau.
