THE Leros is an island at the southeastern tip of the Aegean in Dodecanese. It has a population of 8,130 inhabitants and an area of 54 sq.km., with a coastline that reaches 71 km., Thanks to its intense horizontal division. The largest village (Agia Marina Leros) has a population of 2,672 and follows Lakki with 1,990 inhabitants.

Leros has a ferry connection with its islands Kos, της Rhodes, της Patmos, της Syros with the route that ends in Piraeus (starting from Rhodes) from the port of Lakki, while daily ferries connect the island with the Kalymnos the Lipsi the Bears, the Agathonisi, and Samos.
