The Rust (Persian: رشت Rašt) is a city in Caspian Iran about 40 km from the shores of the Caspian Sea. Rust is known for its parks. Visitors from all over Iran come here for the humid and cool climate. Rust and surrounding areas are quite different from southern Iran. In 2011 its population was 639,951 inhabitants.
