It was built in the twenty-sixth year of Wanli of the Ming Dynasty (1598), and later it was transformed and expanded. It is the first of the three tombs in Shengjing, but it is small in scale and has certain Manchu characteristics. It is a relatively well-preserved imperial tomb in China.
