Most of it was built from the end of the 19th century to the end of the 1920s. There are 1833 existing buildings, including 10 stone buildings, 100 mud buildings, 249 brick buildings, and 1,474 concrete buildings. There are various architectural styles, including traditional Chinese hard mountain top style, hanging mountain top style, Greek style, Roman style, Byzantine style, Baroque style, etc. For example, Rui Shilou combines ancient Roman, Byzantine, Baroque and other styles.
