history

From ancient times to the Qin Dynasty, it was successively inhabited by the Qiang Rong, Yue clan, and Xiongnu. In the third year of Yuanding in the Western Han Dynasty (114 BC), Anding County was established. Today, Baiyin City has built two counties, Zuli and Jiuyin. In the sixth year of Yuanding (111 BC), Yuwei County was once again located in the territory, which belonged to Wuwei County. After Han opened the Silk Road, it became a fortress of the Silk Road. In Jinxianhe four years (329 years), Shile destroyed the former Zhao and established Longdong County here. The silver mining industry appeared in the Han Dynasty. During the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty, there were "20 mines in the south of Songshan Mountain", "Sunrise fighting gold, collecting and selling gold city", and a special mining organization "Baiyin Factory" was set up in the urban area of Baiyin City. Hence the name. In the first year of Mingdao (1032), Xixia defeated Tubo. In the fourth year of Yuanfeng (1082), the Song Dynasty army attacked Xixia, and the city became the front line of the two armies. In the second year of Yuan Fu (1099), Song Dynasty built Huizhou City (now Jingyuan County), and built Huizhou Xinzhai, a famous Huichuan City in the southwest of Baili. In the 4th year of Jianyan in the Southern Song Dynasty (1130), Huizhou was occupied by the Jinsuo. The east of the Yellow River belongs to gold, and the west belongs to Xixia. In August 1985, Baiyin City was restored, and Pingchuan District was established in Jingyuan County.
