Republic of KosovoLocated in the Balkan Peninsula in southeastern Europe, it officially declared its independence in 2008. Kosovo is also translated as Kosov, Kosovo, the area was originallySerbiaOne of the two autonomous provinces, calledKosovo and Metohija

Since the end of the Kosovo War in 1999, Kosovo has only nominally been part of Serbia, but in fact it has been the trusteeship of the United Nations, under the temporary administration of the United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo. Between 1990 and 1999, the ethnic Albanians in the area also referred to Kosovo as the "Republic of Kosovo", but during this period onlyAlbaniaOne country recognizes.

The Kosovo issue has remained unresolved. The Albanians insisted on demanding independence, but the Serbian side demanded that Serbia's territorial integrity be guaranteed. The parties have started negotiations on the Kosovo issue on February 20, 2006. After two years of negotiations and dealings, Kosovo passed the Declaration of Independence on February 17, 2008, declaring its separation from Serbia, and was recognized by 107 countries. The Serbian government has announced that it will never give up Kosovo’s sovereignty and is preparing to adopt a number of sanctions, but it has promised that it will never use force to prevent Kosovo’s independence. On July 22, 2010, the International Court of Justice stated that Kosovo’s declaration of independence from Serbia did not violate international law.
