You can swim on the local beach, or stroll from the bridge over the waterway, past several seaside village houses, and then walk back over the wooden bridge hundreds of meters away. The local scenery is pleasant.
Travel around and visit the fishing village. Fishing boats from the pier to Cotton Island can be reached via the main road to the south, cross the river, and turn to the east.
Shopping
Maran has a small but nice pasar (bazaar) near the ferry terminal. Buy some bananas, rambutans, etc.
