It was opened in the eighth year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1375), rebuilt in the Yongle year, destroyed by fire in the thirty-sixth year of Jiajing (1557), and rebuilt in the second year of Longqing (1568). In the Qing Dynasty, Kangxi, Jiaqing and Daoguang repaired successively. The total area is about 3,000 square meters, and there are existing buildings such as the entrance hall, the main hall, and the back hall. The entrance hall is a mid-Qing building, the back hall is a late Ming building, and the rest are buildings in the late Qing Dynasty. It is now the China Post Museum. Yucheng Post is the remains of a relatively large-scale ancient post along the Grand Canal. The post is located in the historic area of Gaoyou Nanmen Street. Gaoyou Nanmen Street has a clear-textured street and lane system and rich old brands, as well as water and land parallel external traffic, which brings together the typical street and lane space elements of Canal Town. As part of the Yangzhou section of the Huaiyang Canal, it was included in the World Cultural Heritage "Grand Canal" in 2014.
