TheLord Howe Island is an island located off the state of New South Wales in Australia.

Lord Howe Island is a crescent-shaped island of volcanic origin, part of the New South Wales.
Located approximately 600 km east ofAustralia, roughly in front of the Blue Mountains, it is covered with banyan trees and kentia pines which are home to a rare bird: theocydroma.
The isolation of this island has provided valuable information on the evolution of these species. About 300 people live there permanently.
This island is registered on the list of Unesco heritage since 1982.
