Swantuss(Polish: Świętouść) is a seaside resort in Poland in the voivodeship West Pomerania on the island Wollin at the Pomeranian Bay.
background
The place is quite small and manageable. It lies on the eastern edge of the Wollin National Park in a dense forest area between the Baltic Sea coast and the Strandsee Koprowo. It is therefore particularly suitable for tourists who are looking for peace and relaxation on the beach and in nature away from the hustle and bustle. Access to the beach is via an approx. 30 meter long forest path through the beech and pine forest of the dunes. There is also a swimming lake in the village.

However, the place itself does not have a train station, so in the end the host or a taxi will have to pick up the guest from Międzyzdroje, for example. The Polish rail network is operated by the state railway PKP. Rail travel in Poland is very cheap.
By bus
Numerous bus companies offer bus trips to Szczecin from Germany and Austria, e.g. Sindbad, Eurolines, Touring, Omnia. Inexpensive intercity buses run from Szczecin to Wisełka. In addition to the state bus line PKS, there are numerous offers from private providers. From Swinoujscie (on the east side of the Swine) buses also run at short intervals to Miedzyzdroje and on to Świętouść.

activities
The main activity of the place is sunbathing and swimming.
shop
The shops in town are limited to daily needs and small souvenirs. You should go to Szczecin for shopping, as the selection there is significantly larger.
kitchen
Due to the proximity to the open sea, but also to inland waters, marine and freshwater fish are the main components of the regional cuisine.
nightlife
The nightlife options in town are modest, there is a cinema and several restaurants. Night owls will go to Szczecin or one of the neighboring larger cities.
accommodation
Several smaller pensions and a large camping site are available.
Learn
Among other things, you can get a sailing license in the region.
Work
For German-speaking tourists who are looking for a vacation job in the region, there are opportunities in tourism and gastronomy. However, the payment should not correspond to German conditions.
security
The Baltic coast usually falls flat under water and there are hardly any tides or unpredictable currents. Bathing is therefore usually safe for families with children and swimming accidents are rare. When swimming accidents do occur, excessive alcohol or drug consumption is usually involved. However, if you follow the general bathing rules and do not go into the water when the waves are high, you have little to fear.
health
If you are legally insured in Germany or Austria, you can get medical treatment in Poland without any problems and the costs will then be reimbursed / covered by your own health insurance. Basically you need the European health card EHIC for this. If you travel to Poland for (dental) treatment, the assumption of costs should be clarified in advance with the German / Austrian health insurance company.
The supply of pharmacies is quite good and many medicines are cheaper in Poland than in Germany. Prescription drugs can only be obtained on presentation of a doctor's prescription. It is best to clarify in advance whether the desired drugs require a prescription in Poland and to get a prescription from a Polish doctor in advance.
Doctors and pharmacists in Poland usually speak English very well, and some also speak German. You can find out which doctors or pharmacists speak German at the local chamber of doctors or pharmacists.
climate
In the region there is a transitional climate between maritime and continental climates. The amount of precipitation is lower and the temperature fluctuations higher (warmer summers, colder winters) than on comparable coasts in Western Europe.
