Žemaitija or Žemaitėjė (Designation in the žemaitic Dialects), in the Lithuanian national language Žemaitija called, Latinized Samogitia, German traditional Schemaitien or more recently Niederlitauen) is a historical landscape covering the northwestern part of today's Lithuania matters.
