Telšiai (German Telsche, Telschen or Telschi, žemaiticTelšē) is a city and a district parish in Northern Lithuania.

Telšiai District extends to the northwest Lithuania on the plateau of central Lower Lithuania. The district is famous not only for its nature, but also for its history, culture, architecture and cultural monuments. Here one encounters numerous castle hills, old tombs, mythological and sacred stones as well as natural objects.
