THE Gallipoli (Turkish: Gelibolu / Gelibolu English: Gallipoli / Gallipoli), is her city Turkey, in its area Eastern Thrace, administrative center of the province of Canakkale (Dardanelles). The population of the wider area amounts to 44,697 people, 28,326 of whom live in the administrative center (2010 census). The city is known for its sardine canning.

The Gelibolu is located 2 km south of the highway between Echebat (Eceabat) (D550 / E87), where it joins the D110 / E84 motorway east to (Constantinople), D110 / E90 west to (Greek border) and the D550 / E87 to the north (Andrianoupolis (Edirne). Two roads connect the highway with the city center.
