The Kythira, an island also known by the older Venetian name Cerigo (Cerigo) is, according to mythology, the island of the goddess Uranus Aphrodite and Eros. It is located in Southern Greece, in its south Peloponnese and south of it Ελαφόνησου and Cape Malia, in the sea area between Peloponnese and Crete.
