The royal palace
Almudena Cathedral
  •   Almudena Cathedral (Almudena Cathedral), Calle de Bailén (opposite the Royal Palace). - This is a building 102 meters long and 69 meters high, which was built during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries in a mixture of different styles: neoclassical exterior, neo-Gothic interior and neo-Romanesque sanctuary. It was consecrated by Pope John Paul II during his fourth trip to Spain on June 15, 1993, and is the only Spanish church consecrated by a Pope.
