Perm is a larger city and its eponymous center Cray Perm. It is located in the European part of it Russia at the river banks Kama, near Urals Mountains. According to the 2010 Census, the population of the city is 991,162 inhabitants. From 1940 to 1956 the city was known as "Molotov" (Молотов), until it got its current name.
