About 100 kilometers to the north is the Indigirka Gorge, a spectacular gathering place for rapids that can be visited by helicopter. There are some organized rafting expeditions here, but they have not been organized in recent years. The rapids are quite roughly so that fish cannot cross-exist as different species above and below.
