Lufeng CountyforYunnan ProvinceChuxiong Yi Autonomous PrefectureThe counties under the jurisdiction of the county were merged by the original Lufeng County (in today’s Jinshan Town), Luoci County (in today’s Bicheng Town), Guangtong County (in today’s Guangtong Town), and Yanxing County (in today’s Heijing Town). Then, the county is located in the middle of Yunnan Province, adjacent to Anning City. Due to the discovery of the world’s largest dinosaur fossils and Lama ancient ape fossils, Lufeng has been hailed as the "Hometown of Dinosaurs", "Fossil Warehouse", "Birthplace of Humans in Asia" and "Natural Natural Museum" by academia. It is 3536 square kilometers and has a total population of 427,000.
