Acre is a state of North region of Brazil.

Other destinations
- Serra do Divisor National Park - located in the extreme west of the state, most of its territory is covered by the Amazon rainforest. The main rivers are the Juruá and the Moa, on the banks of which the Nukini Indians live. Ibama authorization is required for visitation.
- Chico Mendes Environmental Park - with an important area covered by forest, it preserves the local flora and fauna, in the same place where the Itucumã rubber plantation was located, 10 km from Rio Branco.
Understand
Until the beginning of the 20th century, the territory occupied by Acre belonged to the Bolivia. In the agreement with the neighboring country for its ownership, the construction of the Madeira-Mamoré railway by the Brazil. The development of the state took place through the extraction of rubber, from the Second World War onwards. Today, Acre has 45% of its territory destined for environmental protection areas.
To arrive
By airplane
The main air access point is Rio Branco International Airport, 18 km from the city centre. Most flights arrive in Rio Branco from 23:00, so the tourist will have to take a taxi to the center of Rio Branco, as buses operate only until 22:30.
There are also regular flights to other cities, such as Cruzeiro do Sul (operated by Gol).
By bus
By Rodoviária de Rio Branco, which receives buses from various parts of Brazil and the interior of Acre.
By car
The highways that run through Acre are BR-364, which connects the state to Rondônia and to Midwest, passing through the capital and reaching the far west, in Southern Cross, and the BR-317, which runs from White River The Assis Brazil, on the triple border (Brazil/Bolivia/Peru).
State highways do not add up to more than 200 km, in the vicinity of Rio Branco.

With the
Acre's gastronomy mixes Northeastern, Pará, Bolivian, Indian and Arab cuisine. From this mixture came duck in tucupi, tacacá, carne de sol with baião de two, fish stew, tapioca, spicy chicken and cigars. Exotic fruits make excellent juices and desserts: soursop, cajá, cajarana, cupuaçu, etc. From the forest come peach palm, Brazil nuts, guarana, buriti and açaí.
