Aguascalientes - state in Mexico located in the central part of the country. It borders on the states Jalisco and Zacatecasit was part of it until it was spun off in 1835. The state capital is the city Aguascalientes. The name Aguascalientes means "hot water" and comes from the numerous hot springs found here.
