Worth seeing
- cathedral from the beginning of the 11th century, built on the foundations of an even older temple, after which a mosaic from the 4th century with an area of 760 m² has been preserved on the floor (the largest preserved early Christian mosaic [1]). The mosaic features figures of people, animals and plants in geometric patterns. In the apse, fragments of frescoes from the 11th century have been preserved. Next to the church, there is a belfry with a view of the city;
- the ruins of the Roman river port to which, from the cathedral, the Via Sacra planted with cypresses leads;
- The Early Christian Museum (Museo Paleocristiano), located to the northeast of the river port ruins. The museum exhibits early Christian funeral urns, fragments of mosaics and choir balustrades;
- Archaeological Museum (Museo Archeologico) with finds from Roman times such as various items made of precious stones, amber and glass.
