Alcácer do Sal is a Portuguese city belonging to the District of Setúbal, in the region of Lower Alentejo and in the Alentejo Litoral subregion, with about 9102 inhabitants.

It is the seat of a large municipality, with an area of ​​1479.94 km² but only 13 354 inhabitants (2006), subdivided into 6 parishes.
