Aquileia (Aquileia in Italian, Aquilee in Friulian) is a city in the Autonomous Region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, in the province of Udine. This city of 3,500 inhabitants was one of the most important cities of the Roman Empire, then during the Middle Ages a high place of the Christian religion. It is classified as World Heritage by UNESCO;
