      Funen - Birthplace of the Danish writer Hans Christian Andersen, lush landscapes and farmhouses.
      Langeland - A geographically tapered island, with wild horses and grazing cattle.
      Ærø - An island with an important maritime history and some lovely villages to visit.
      Southern archipelago of Funen (Sydfynske Øhav) - Consisting of 55 islands of various sizes, the main ones of which are: Ærø, Tåsinge, Thurø, Lyø, Strynø is Avernakø. The seabed of this area has the characteristic of not going down beyond 20/30 m in depth.

  • Svendborg - Town of about 27,000 inhabitants, Svendborg is an important holiday resort on a high stretch of coast in the Hindshom region where numerous private yachts dock. It also retains an interesting old town with half-timbered houses.
  • Ærøskøbing - Pretty town on the island of Ærø as well as its main port.
