- Svendborg - Town of about 27,000 inhabitants, Svendborg is an important holiday resort on a high stretch of coast in the Hindshom region where numerous private yachts dock. It also retains an interesting old town with half-timbered houses.
- Ærøskøbing - Pretty town on the island of Ærø as well as its main port.
