- 1 St. Peter's Church –
The Romanesque church of Saint-Pierre, made up of a single nave, three bays, and a choir enclosed by a flat wall, was built in XIIe century century and XIIIe century, then reworked in the XVIe century. It has a rectangular comb bell tower with four arches from the XVIe century, typical of Languedoc, a western portal with four columns, two of which are twisted, and a multi-lobed archivolt.
- 2 Arlempdes castle – The castle, now in ruins, apart from the castle chapel and a building not far from it, the ground floor of which (the weapons room) has kept its vault, caps a basaltic relief located along the young Loire, whose eastern wall, facing the river, has drop-offs around a hundred meters high. It looks roughly like a rectangle of 30 by 80 meters. For comparison, the fortress of Polignac measures about 100 on 200 m. Delimited by more or less rectilinear curtain fronts, with the exception of the northeastern portion of the enclosure, of an irregular design, where the castle tends to submit to the topographical constraints induced by the morphology of the cliffs at this place. The most exposed side is the northwest flank. The walls are lined with corner towers and flanking towers (seven in total). In the center of the fortress, a wall, now a debris, connected to a circular tower, which once served as a dungeon, subdivides the castle into two distinct parts. The southern half has the appearance of an open median, while the northern part is densely occupied with buildings, most of them ruined: the chapel, from the 12th century, preserved; a section of wall, the only remaining element of the old stately home built by Poitiers in XVe century and XVIe century; remains of jails, near the previously mentioned weapons room; finally some remains of walls and windows near the entrance gate (dated XIIe century in the northwest of the castle. The foundations of the walls date back to XIIIe century, and the rest of the buildings date from XVe century and XVIe century, that is to say of the time when Poitiers set about restoring and rebuilding the fortress.
