Geography
East Azerbaijan is located in northwestern Iran within the Third Administrative Region. To the west it borders with Ardabil, from the south-east with Zhangan, from the south-west and west with West Azerbaijanand from the north with Armenian Sjunik and Azerbaijanincluding Nakhichevan Autonomous Republic [3].
