Bad Ueberkingen is a German Municipality in the district of Göppingen in Baden-Wuerttemberg. Here in the Filstal is the oldest spa in the Swabian Alb.

The municipality has consisted of the four localities since the regional reform in 1970 Bad Ueberkingen, Hausen on the Fils, Oberboehringen and Unterböhringen.

The town of Überkingen was first mentioned in a document in 1108. It has been allowed to call itself Bad Überkingen since 1927.

Largest neighboring municipality is Geislingen. More neighbors are Deggingen, Schlat, Cuties, Went and cake, all in the district of Göppingen.

The federal highway B466 leads from Geislingen an der Steige (Bundestrasse 10) to Mühlhausen (connection to the motorway A8 (E56)). It forms part of the here Swabian Albstraße.

  • The Mineralbrunnen AG, had a borehole drilled in 1926, which hit a mineral spring at a depth of 63 meters. This source was given its name Adelheidquelle.
  • Every year the Easter fountain is decorated before Easter (local custom).
  • The steeply towering one rises to the east of the thermal baths 2 Kahlenstein, which also includes the accessible Kahlenstein Cave is located.
