The Balzer Lord God - also called Winkelherrgott - is a stone figure of Christ grown into a willow beech in the middle Black Forest between Wildlife expert and Neukirch-Fallengrund (Baden-Wuerttemberg). It is the destination of many hikers and walkers and is considered a place of pilgrimage by some.
Location and access
The Balzer Herrgott is located between Wildgutach and Neukirch- Trap reason.
Coming from below from the direction of Hexenloch:
Either from the Black Forest High Road B 500 just before Neukirch turn off in the direction of Hexenloch / Neukirch (signposted). Continue through Neukirch towards Hexenloch. On the path behind the Hexenlochmühle Climb uphill and follow the signs (yellow diamond) to the Balzer Herrgott for 3 km.
From above from direction Fall ground coming:
Of Guttenbach or Neueck into Fallengrund, drive past the Oberfallengrundhof to the forest car park. From here it is first about 200 m in the direction of Langengrund along the edge of the forest and then on a wide, slightly sloping forest path for another 1 km to the Balzer Herrgott (signposted).
