bar (Бар, Italian: Antivari) is a city in Montenegro. It was first mentioned in the 9th century and is located at the foot of Mount Rumija (1593 m.)

Bar is a port city on the Adriatic. The modern Neustadt is economically significant with the port and train station, which has been expanded since 1952. As well as being important for traffic as the terminus of the ferry from the Italian Bari and the railway line Belgrade-Bar it has tourist importance due to the high-altitude old town Stari Bar (Alt-Bar), which has been an extensive ruined city since the 19th century.

Bar is the end of the spectacular Belgrade – Bar railway line.

In the street
Bar is located on the well-developed Adriatic coastal road (Jadranska Magistrala). Those who arrive with their own car from German-speaking countries will lose weight the quickest Zagreb the Croatian Autocesta A1which currently ends in front of the Neretva river and then goes onto the coastal road. After Dubrovnik, the border with Montenegro is crossed.
Alternatively, you can take the Italian motorway A14 and take the ferry from Bari to Bar.
