Ulcinj is the southernmost lido Montenegro on the Adriatic.

background

getting there

The place has no rail connection. On the beach there is only one sheltered corner for the smallest fishing boats, it is not suitable for yachts.

By bus

1  Bus station (on the northern outskirts. It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the old town.). Minibuses after Shkodra run three times a day for € 5, the first departure is at 6:00 a.m. A direct connection to the Pristina (Capital Kosovo), by Albania, is available daily at 6 p.m. and 7.30 p.m. (€ 17.50; 6 hrs). Tickets are only sold immediately before departure, advance bookings are not common.

In the street

The E851 makes a loop on the outskirts, it leads north bar and to the east into albanian Shkodra across the border at Muriqan.

mobility

There is no public transport, the place is too small for that. There are taxi stands at the bus station, the bazaar and halfway up the road to the beach at the tourist kiosk.

A seasonal one-way rule applies to some of the steeper streets from June 15 to September 15.

The tourist operation in Ulcinj is strongly seasonal. Because of his high proportion of Albanians, members of this language group from Kosovo also like to visit him.
