Shkodra is a city in Northern Albania.
background
The city by the lake of the same name is also popular with local visitors and is well developed in terms of tourism. It should be noted that a few years ago practically all streets were renamed, which is not yet visible on all maps. In addition, some of the “old” names are being used again today. The on-site signage has been completely adapted.
The central traffic junction is the one enclosed by comparatively tall buildings Sheshi Democracy, the center of which is adorned with a large roundabout with a fountain. Just under two hundred meters away is the Mother Teresa Square (with a statue), from which the pedestrian zone, paved with natural stone in 2013 with EU funds, faces north and south (R. Kolë Idromeno) goes off.

There are three city bus routes. Timetables and route plans are not posted. Line 1 runs Fermentim – Sheshi Demokratia – Bahçallek, every 10 minutes from 5.00 am, every 20 minutes from 3.30 pm, every half hour from 6.30 pm to 10 pm. Line 2 serves the center, from Sheshi Demokratie to Zogaj only four times a day. Line 3 also departs from Sheshi Demokratie.
Cycling is popular in the city. There is a taxi stand in front of the mosque Xhamia e Madhe between Sheshi Democracy and Mutter-Theresa-Platz.
